Insurance Exam Practice by State

Every state tests the same general Life & Health concepts, plus its own insurance laws. Pick your state for its law topics, exam facts and licensing steps.

How state exams differ

Some states test their laws in a separate part of the exam: Texas and Florida, for example, add a state-law section to the general questions. Others, such as California and New York, mix state rules into every section. Each state page explains how its exam is built, according to that state's official content outline.

Your state isn't listed?

Start with the Life & Health general knowledge topics and the 100-question practice exam; the general part of the exam is similar in every state. We add new states regularly.
