Steps to a Florida agent license

  1. Complete the pre-licensing coursework Florida requires for the license (Florida Statutes 626.7851 and 626.8311).
  2. Book the exam with Pearson VUE and pass it.
  3. Apply online with the Department of Financial Services, pay the application and license identification fees, and submit fingerprints.
  4. Finish licensing within one year of passing, or you must retake the exam.

The handbook says the license identification is made available electronically in your MyProfile account once the Department approves the application.

Florida law is only part of the 2-15: practice the general knowledge part with the Life & Health topic quizzes and the 100-question practice exam.
