How we write our practice questions
Every question on this site is an original practice item. We do not use real exam questions, questions remembered by test takers, or questions copied from books or other websites.
Where the content comes from
- The official exam content outlines published by the testing companies and state insurance departments (for example, Pearson VUE's Texas and Florida outlines and the California Department of Insurance's exam objectives).
- Primary sources for each fact: state insurance codes and consumer guides, federal law, and pages from agencies such as the SEC.
How each question is checked
- Each question is tied to a section of the exam outline.
- Each answer has an explanation of why it is right and why the other choices are wrong.
- Each question lists its sources, so you can check them yourself.
- Questions are drafted with the help of AI tools, checked against the sources above, and reviewed by a person before publishing.
