How this practice exam works
- Each attempt draws 50 questions from the life topics of our question bank, in the proportions shown below.
- You have 50 minutes; the exam submits itself when time runs out.
- Flag questions, move freely, and change answers before you submit. Your progress is saved in this browser.
- After you submit you see your score by topic and an explanation with sources for every question you missed.
How this compares with the real exam
This matches the general knowledge part of the Texas Life Agent exam, which has 50 scored questions in exactly these four sections and weights, plus 30 scored Texas-law questions and unscored pretest items, with 120 minutes in all, according to the Pearson VUE content outline #124401 and candidate handbook #124400. California's Life-Only agent exam has 75 questions in 90 minutes and mixes California law into each section, so pair this exam with the California topics.
Your state sets the passing standard, and it isn't necessarily 70% correct; we show 70% as a practical target. Taking both parts? Use the 100-question Life & Health practice exam or the Health-only exam.
